How We Use AI
TLT uses AI to help produce its news. Here is precisely what that means, what is automated, and the human-designed rules that keep it accurate and honest.
What AI does here
TLT’s news briefs and market reports are drafted by a large language model — our “newsdesk” — working inside strict, human-designed rules. The engine monitors reputable crypto feeds, groups together outlets reporting the same story, and writes an original summary in our own words, grounded only in the publishers’ syndication text and our own live market data.
What the AI may never do
The model is instructed to use only the facts in the supplied source summaries and our verified data. It may never invent figures, quotes, names, dates or outcomes; never predict prices; never give financial advice. When sources disagree on a number it must report the range, not a guess. Output that fails our checks — too thin, off-topic, or not grounded in the evidence — is discarded or replaced with a data-only summary that invents nothing.
The human-designed guardrails
Around the model sit rules we wrote and enforce in code: a no-fabrication rule, mandatory source attribution, data-grounding against CoinGecko, Binance, DefiLlama and mempool.space, a subject-accuracy check that discards any summary about the wrong asset, transformative-only summarisation (we never reproduce a source’s wording), and YMYL safety (no advice, no predictions).
Data is not AI-generated
Every price, market cap, TVL figure, on-chain number and exchange rate on TLT comes from a real public data API and is shown with a source timestamp. AI writes the words around the data — it never makes up the data itself.
Why we disclose this
We believe you deserve to know how what you read is produced. That is also why the byline on every brief is our organisational newsdesk — “TLT Newsdesk” or “TLT Market Desk” — and never a fabricated human author. More on that in our newsroom.
