TLT Crypto Data API

The same source-stamped crypto data that powers tlt.ng — prices, market data, the Nigerian naira P2P rate, conversions, and "why it's moving" — as a fast JSON API. Free tier, no sign-up required.

Base URL & authentication

https://tlt.ng/api/v1

The free tier needs no key. For higher limits, send your key as a header:

Every response includes X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset headers. Rate limiting is per key (or per IP on the free tier).

Endpoints

GET /v1/global

Global market stats — total market cap, volume, BTC dominance.

GET /v1/coins?limit=100&page=1

List coins by market cap (max limit 250).

GET /v1/coins/{id}

A single coin (CoinGecko id, e.g. bitcoin): price, cap, volume, supply, change.

GET /v1/price/{id}/{fiat}

Coin price in a currency. fiat: usd, ngn, eur, gbp, inr, zar, aed, cad, jpy. NGN uses the P2P rate.

GET /v1/naira

Nigerian naira: USDT/NGN P2P buy/sell/mid, official rate, premium.

GET /v1/fx

Fiat exchange rates vs USD.

GET /v1/convert?from=&to=&amount=

Convert between any coins and fiats, e.g. from=bitcoin&to=ngn&amount=1.

GET /v1/why

Current biggest movers with cited explanations of what is moving them.

GET /v1/why/{id}

The explanation for one current mover.
