Arafat, a 12-year-old child who was injured during the anti-discrimination student movement, died. He died while receiving treatment at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
On Sunday (December 22) around 1pm, Zahid Ehsan, Secretary of the Student Movement Cell, announced this news through a circular.
The notification stated that the procession of martyrs was dense on December 22 at 10:30 pm, when the 12-year-old coup youth activist Arafat was martyred. He died of cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at CMH Hospital in the capital. Inna-Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun.

Sheikh Hasina and her fellow Awami League leaders and activists who participated in the July massacre, including the death of martyr Arafat and all members of the firing squad must be brought to justice very quickly.
The anti-discrimination student movement also expressed its condolences to the bereaved family and asked for forgiveness for the soul of the martyr Arafat. Funeral prayers will be held for the martyr Arafat on December 23 at 3 pm in the central martyr’s minar.
