Two Rohingya youth were arrested by Nazirpur Police Station in Nazirpur Upazila of Pirojpur. On Sunday evening (December 22), Sarwar Hussain of Nazirpur Police Station arrested them along with a joint force from Chithliya area of Pirojpur to Dhaka Expressway in upazila on a tip-off.
They are Rohingyas, Munir Alam (40), son of Anwar Ali from G14 tankkhali camp, Hakim Para from Ukhiya upazila area of Cox’s Bazar, and Shafiq (21), son of Zahid Hussain from the same camp.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Nasreen Jahan of Pirojpur district confirmed the matter through a press statement at Nazirpur police station at 8 pm.
It is said that the purpose for which they came or who brought them has not yet been confirmed. But it is being investigated.
