The interim government’s chief advisor said he would return to work after the elections. Muhammad Younis. My job has already been taken away, he said. I had to do this job.
He said these things in an interview with the British magazine The Economist on Friday (December 20).
“I was doing my job and enjoying it,” the senior advisor added. I was in Paris for this. From there I was pulled away to do something else. So I would be happy to go back to my regular job, which I’ve done all my life. Young people like it too. So I’m going to go back to my group or movement that I created around the world.
In the interview, the senior advisor was asked about the danger of extremism.
Dr. replied. Muhammad Yunus said: I confirm that extremism will not escalate in Bangladesh. Young people are neutral about religion. They want to build a new Bangladesh. These young people can change the whole world. It is not just a matter of changing one country or another. What Bangladesh has done is an example of how strong the youth can be. We must pay attention to them. Especially on young women. They played an important role in the Bangladesh coup.
He said we must focus on young people so that they can achieve their dreams. Their chance has come. They also have abilities. There are three young men who led the coup in my government. They are doing a great job. They are capable. These young people are not the youth of the last century. They are the youth of this century. They are as capable as anyone else.
