In a photo card recently posted on Facebook, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sargis Alam said: “If Ilyas had been appointed as an advisor, no one would have had the opportunity to mediate.” However, research conducted by RumorScanner has revealed that this claim is completely false and baseless.
Research by the Rumor Scanner team made it clear that “if Elias was appointed chancellor, no one would have the opportunity to mediate this” – a comment Sarzes did not know about. This claim has been made largely without reliable evidence.
After further investigations, it was found that no reliable information or evidence was mentioned in the prosecution’s circulated publications. The photo card also does not contain any name or media logo, calling into question the veracity of this claim. Media outlets usually use the name or logo on published photo cards, but not here.
After further investigation, no post regarding this allegation was found on Sargis Alam’s Facebook account. Although Sargis Alam regularly posts information and opinions from his Facebook account, he has never mentioned this specific allegation.
In addition, Sargis Alam had criticized the appointment of director Mustafa Saryar Farooqi as his advisor last November 16, but he did not comment on Ilyas Hussein. Likewise, in a post dated December 26, he called on the interim government’s young advisors to play a revolutionary role, but the post did not mention Elias.
Therefore, the claim circulated by Sarzis Alam that “no one would have had the opportunity to mediate if Elias had been appointed as an advisor” is completely false and baseless.
