The accused’s smile as he looked at the policewoman, what was known about the circulated video – the Bangladeshi diplomat

Recently, a video clip went viral on social media, where a handcuffed accused can be seen looking at a smiling female police officer. Another policeman nearby tries to stop him.

Since the video went viral, controversy has begun around it. Many are promoting this as a real event. However, Bangladesh information verification agency Rumor Scanner said the video was not a real incident. This is actually a scene that was captured while filming the drama.

This information was reported in a Rumor Scanner report on Saturday (December 21).

According to the report, the video clip that shows the accused smiling at the policewoman is not a real incident. This is a representative video recorded during the shooting of the drama serial ‘Mishrifi Junior’ on the private channel Deepta TV. At the beginning of the investigation, a video was found on a Facebook page named “Asif Adnan Bro” with the caption “A ekta kaj holo” on November 8 by searching for relevant keywords. The video in question is identical to this video.

The report also stated that the caption “One League President Asif Adnan arrested from the airport” attached to the video indicates that it is a funny video. Moreover, the face of the person playing the role of the accused in the video was found to be similar to various photos posted on that Facebook page. Later, a post was found on Asif Adnan’s Facebook account on December 18 with the caption “I woke up one day and saw that I was going viral.”

In this regard, Asif Adnan said that he works in the digital department at Deepta TV and also creates content. He made this video of himself as a joke while filming the drama.

Moreover, the same information was also confirmed in a post published on Asif Adnan’s Facebook page on December 20. Therefore, a written video clip of the accused smiling at the policewoman was circulated on the social networking site Facebook claiming that it was a real incident, which is completely false.
