The oldest man in the world dies at the age of 116 – a Bangladeshi diplomat

The world’s oldest person, who was born before the outbreak of World War I and the sinking of the Titanic, Japanese Tomiko Itoka, has died. He died at a nursing home in Asia City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He was 116 years old at the time of his death.

According to local media reports, he died peacefully due to complications of old age. Ashiya City Mayor Ryosuke Takashima expressed deep sadness over his death in a statement, describing Itoka’s long life as a source of courage and hope.

In September last year, the Guinness Book of World Records announced that she was the oldest person in the world, when the Spanish Maria Branyas Moreira died at the age of 117 years.

Itoka was born on May 23, 1908 in the city of Osaka, western Japan. In his life, he witnessed two world wars and saw Japan rise as a powerful empire and then rebuild as a peaceful democracy.

He ran a clothing store for a living and continued to run the business through World War II. Her husband, who owned a textile company, died in 1979. Then he moved to Asia City.

Ituka faced many challenges during her life. He climbed mountains in his seventies and surprised everyone by climbing a mountain in sneakers at the age of 100. Even at the age of 100, he could walk on a rocky path without a stick.

According to the Aging Research Group, she was a strong woman who worked alone to raise her children and run her business.
