Comilla University (Kobe) has banned all forms of student politics within the university. This decision was taken at the union’s 100th meeting on August 8 last year. However, in defiance of this decision, the student body of the university branch organized a friendly cricket tournament with regular students on the campus in memory of Shaheed Waseem in the anti-discrimination student movement.
The tournament was organized on Thursday (January 2) at around 11 am on the open stage inside the university.
In this regard, member secretary of the university’s Chhatra Dal branch, Mustafizur Rahman Shubu, said: “This was not done under any political banner.” I organized a short pitch cricket tournament to increase our (student body) harmony with the students in general. Since it was a sporting event, there was no political activity, and we did not inform the administration about it. The gift was presented by none other than the Chhatra Dal. But we did not carry out any political activities here.”

Abdullah Al-Mamoun, organizer of the university’s student body, said: We did not know that practicing sports required obtaining permission. This was not done under the banner of any party. On the occasion of the founding anniversary of Chhatra Dal, we organized only one match with ordinary students, and nothing else.
Professor Dr. Proctor of the University in this regard. Doctor of Medicine. Abdul Hakim said: We went there and learned from them that the matter concerned ordinary students. But later I knew about the cup. We’ll talk about this on Sunday.
