The Alumni Association of the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University (DU) has formed a new committee. The two-year executive committee was formed at the fourth annual alumni meeting on Friday (Jan. 3). The professor of the Institute’s Department of Japanese Language and Culture was elected president. Muhammad Ansar Al-Ilm. Associate Professor Vipul Chandra Debnath, Associate Professor in the Department of French Language and Culture, became Secretary General.
The 15-member committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Doctor of Medicine. Afzal Hussain, Treasurer Fazila Nitsha, Joint Editor Khalid Muhammad Faisal Abdullah, Organizing Secretary Aminul Islam, Office Secretary Tariq Rahman, Publications Editor Abu Naeem and Cultural Editor Anjoy Ranjan Das.
The committee members are – Sajal Ahmed, Ayan Basak and Mayuri Rani Dey.
