At least two people were killed and 18 others were injured after a small plane crashed into a commercial building in the US state of California.
Police said the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (January 2) local time. NDTV reported this news citing an international news agency.
According to reports, the accident occurred near Fullerton Municipal Airport, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. However, the cause is not yet known.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Fullerton Police confirmed that two people died in the accident. 10 people were taken to hospital and 8 others were treated at the scene.
A police official said that investigators are not sure whether the victims were passengers on the plane or workers in the building where the plane crashed.
“We just heard a loud noise,” Jerome Cruz, one of the workers who witnessed the accident, told CBS News. Then we started running out of the building.”
