Spring, Lazio-Roma 1-2: Romano decides the derby

The boys coached by Falsini are first with full points after four days. Lazio’s goal in the 60th minute by Balde is not enough.

A top-of-the-table challenge, but one that was decided in the first half. The Roman Spring wins on the field of their peers of Lazio by 2-1. The goals of the class of 2005 Misitano (in the 2nd minute) and of 2006 Romano (in the 19th minute) are decisive. The goal of 2004 Baldé, which came in the 60th minute, with the opponents down to 10 men, was useless. The Giallorossi thus remain at full points also at the end of the fourth day, while the Biancocelesti, on the other hand, remain at 7 points. Roma, even when they remained numerically inferior, made the game, with the hosts who were seen mainly on the counterattack.

Lazio lined up with a 4-3-3, Roma responded with a 4-2-3-1. Falsini’s team started very strong and took the lead in the 2nd minute with Misitano who, after getting rid of an opponent, beat Renzetti. The home team responded and raised their center of gravity, but did not manage to do more than earn a series of corners. In the 15th minute, Roma came back with Marazzotti on a free kick, but he failed to find the target. The Giallorossi managed to double their lead in the 19th minute, with a nice left-footed shot from distance by Romano. Lazio created the first chance with Zazza, but he failed to surprise Marin, who did well to save it in the corner. Roma responded with Mannini who tried with a left-footed volley that flew over the crossbar.

The second half begins with the expulsion of Golic who, already cautioned, stops Balde in an irregular manner and gets the second yellow. Lazio reopens the match in the 60th minute with Balde, quick to tap in a short save by Marin on a shot by Munoz. The Giallorossi are not intimidated and continue to attack, with Misitano who, with a sure shot, sees his conclusion blocked by Renzetti. Lazio comes close to equalizing with Sulejmani who in the 90th minute forces Marin to save in the corner. Nothing else happens and Roma also wins the fourth match in a row, remaining at full points.
