Florian Thauvin double gives Udinese victory and top spot in Serie A

Enrico Del Prato (0-1, 2nd) and then the Frenchman Ange-Yoan Bonny (0-2, 43rd) had offered a good cushion to Parma on Monday but it was not enough against the revolt of Udinese, winner 3-2 thanks to a great Florian Thauvin. The former Marseillais, not involved in the first goal of his team, a header from Lorenzo Lucca on a cross from Hassane Kamara (2-1, 49th), then came out of his box to turn everything around.

It was first as a fox – and a goal lover – that he pushed a header from Keinan Davis from close range that was going to go into the goal anyway (2-2, 68th). And then it was with the “offensive rebound”, taking a shot with his left foot that had been pushed back by the opposing goalkeeper, that he sealed Udine’s victory (3-2, 77th).

A result that is ultimately quite logical for a team that tried its luck twice as much as its opponent (18 shots to 9) and which sits at the top of the Italian Championship standings. With 10 points out of 12, the team coached by the German Kosta Runjaic is at the top of Serie A.
