Due to the navigation crisis and shipwreck in the Padma River, ships carrying goods are stranded at Indarmanik Ghat in Manikganj every day. Coastal ships carrying goods from the ports of Chittagong, Mongla, Sylhet, Kutubdia and Narayanganj are particularly stuck at Indarmanik Ghat. As a result, merchants and ship owners are in trouble. They therefore demand that effective action be taken quickly.
