Two people were killed on Jessore Road

Two people were killed in two separate traffic accidents in Gisor. At least five people were injured. Two of them were taken to hospital. These two incidents took place in Jekargacha and Manirampur around 12:30 pm on Saturday.

The deceased are identified as Mustafizur Rahman Bulu (50), son of Hafeezur Rahman of Ghazir Dargah area of ​​Jikargasha upazila and Afzal Hussain (35) of Sharankhola village in Manirampur upazila.

According to local sources, an SP Golden Line bus (Dhaka Metro B 15-4035) from Jessore to Satkhiramukhi collided with a tree on the side of the road. 4-5 people were injured.

The bus was heading towards Satkhira from Jessore on Saturday at around 12:30 pm. On the way, a motorcyclist collided with a tree on the side of the road while trying to rescue a motorcyclist in Dargah area of ​​Ghazi. Polo, a pedestrian who was standing there at the time, died.

When contacted, Gikargasha Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Officer Nayan Chowdhury said: “Immediately after the accident occurred, we went to the spot.” Then 5 injured people were transported to Jessore General Hospital by ambulance. He doesn’t know if anyone is dead or not.

When asked, Inspector Roknozman of the Navarran Highway Police said, “A person named Polo died in the accident.” He is the son of Hafeezur Rahman from Ghazi Dargah area. At that time 4-5 people were more or less injured. They were sent to Jessore General Hospital.

Meanwhile, Manirampur police station OC Noor Muhammad Ghazi said that a youth, identified as Afzal Hussain, died in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Khedapara Saraskati area in the afternoon. He was on his way to work when the accident occurred.
