The students of Dhaka University demanded that the road map for the Daksu elections be announced within 72 hours. They announced this ultimatum at VC Square around 12:40pm on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday evening (January 2) in front of the Senate Building of Dhaka University Nawab Ali Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Allegations were raised about the Chhatra Dal quarreling with Niaz Ahmed Khan and Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed Khan.
A section of the general university students complained. They later protested against the incident at 11:30 pm on the university campus. The demonstrators came out in a procession from the university hall, went around different areas and gathered at VC Square and started chanting slogans.
At that time they were chanting “One Two Three Four, Daxo my right”, “Tempo no Daxo, Daxo Daxo”, “Cemetery no Daxo, Daxo Daxo”, “Cheat no Daxo, Daxo Daxo”, “Horror no Daxo, Daxo Daxo” . “, “Guest room no daksu, daksu daksu”, “Common room no daksu, daksu daksu”, “Money lender’s address, not on this campus” etc. They started shouting slogans.

Mahen Sarkar, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, then demanded that the university administration announce the roadmap for the Dakso elections within 72 hours.
Maheen Sarkar said: “Mr Vice-Chancellor is not just a person, he is the representative of Dhaka University. By insulting him, all the students of Dhaka University have been insulted. Chhatra Dal and other conspirators started talking since the present administration spoke in favor of Dhaka elections.”
He also said: “Vice-Chancellor Sir should keep his spine straight and announce the roadmap for the Daxo elections as soon as possible.” Its deadline is only 72 hours. If the road map is not announced within 72 hours, we will move towards a more stringent program.”
“Even after Pattano was elected during the Chhatra League period, the students got a temporary respite from the common guest room,” said Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury, another former coordinator of the demonstration. “The students got a taste of democracy, albeit temporarily. When we expelled fascism from Bangladesh, another group is trying to deprive us.” From this democratic right, and are planning various plots, to return that public room to the guest room.
He also said: “We have sent away the NSF, the student body of the Muslim League, and the graves of the Jatiya Chhatra Samaj have been written in this Dhaka University. The graves of monsters have been written like the Chhatra League of Dhaka University. If the Chhatra’ Dal goes against the students, then the Chhatra will be buried.” Dahl is also on this campus.”
